New CMS Feature: Lock Domain – Greater Control for Interactive Digital Signage
When using touch screen digital signage to display a live website in public spaces, there’s a common challenge: you want visitors to explore specific content but not wander off to external sites. Traditional workarounds, like network-level restrictions or building a duplicate website without outbound links, can be complex and time-consuming.
A Simple Solution for Digital Signage
To address this, My Signage Portal now includes a Lock Domain option inside its Webpage Zone. This lets you decide whether users can browse freely or stay strictly within a single domain.
You simply choose between:
- Unlock – the default, allowing navigation to any external links.
- Lock – keeps users inside the assigned domain while still letting them move between internal pages.
Why Lock Domain Matters
For interactive digital signage in retail, hospitality, education, or corporate settings, this feature helps:
- Protect brand integrity & enhance security by preventing access to unauthorised websites
- Maintain focus on the content you want your audience to engage with
Quick to Activate
Lock Domain is built into the Webpage Zone template editor. New screens receive it automatically via remote updates; older screens can enable it with a simple software update – our support team can help if needed.

The Lock Domain feature is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering powerful, user-friendly CMS tools that help businesses take full control of their digital signage.
